MORE:
Come join us for a fun-filled weekend of peace awareness in Philadelphia from Friday August 1 through Sunday August 3, 2008.
Included will be a basketball tournament, food, entertainment, and a moment of silence at each site. This event is free and open to the public.
With emphasis on cooperation, problem solving/prevention, and unity, the goal is to build stronger and more peaceful communities through festive gatherings that focus on African-American history, traditions, family values, and self-respect.
Each site will host its own form of outreach, which may include motorcades, vendors, information displays, musical entertainment, poetry, face painting, domestic violence panel discussion, health screenings, and so much more.
