The Power of the Five-Generation Workplace
Posted by La Salle Nonprofit Center on March 12, 2018
Walk into the average workplace these days, and you’re likely to see:
- Pre-Boomers
- Baby Boomers
- Gen Xers
- Gen Ys
- Millennials
Each comes to the workplace with a specific set of attitudes, behaviors, values, communication styles, expectations, workstyles, priorities and work ethics.
Employers and staff must find ways to cope with — and even harness — these differences. To do that you must understand what motivates each generations and then identify techniques for managing this diversity. The result will be a calmer and more productive workplace.
Sounds ambitious. Fortunately, we have an HR expert who’s figured it out for you and will offer proven approaches to the multi-generational workplace. After taking this 1/2 day class, you’ll learn how valuing differences and embracing them will strengthen and enrich your work environment.
