The Power Of Partnerships: Growing Civic Engagement On Your Campus

Leading nonpartisan voting efforts on college campuses can be a daunting task. The logistical challenge of registering numerous students to vote, many hailing from different states with different voting laws, is one hill to climb. Factor in the reality that many of us don’t have these duties in our job descriptions, and suddenly the work can feel like boiling the ocean.
If I have learned anything in my years supporting civic engagement efforts at the University of Mississippi, it’s this: we can all do something, and we’re foolish to do this alone. Partnerships are necessary to enhance and execute nonpartisan voter engagement on our campuses, and there are simple strategies you can employ to start building those invaluable relationships.
