The Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience will host its first annual webinar detailing the status of immigrant and refugee survivors of torture in the Pennsylvania region. This webinar will be presented live on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Please join us for this informative opportunity
Mental health, medical, social service, legal, and other professionals seeking to learn more about the prevalence of torture survivors in the area and who would like to improve their understanding of the unique needs of survivors will benefit from a panel of service providers discussing best and emerging practices. Special attention will be paid to the definition of torture used by the United States Torture Victims Relief Act, and programming lessons learned when developing targeted interventions. Information regarding accessing services for survivors in Philadelphia and surrounding counties, and details regarding accessing technical assistance for providing services to survivors will be presented.
