The New Student Politics: The Wingspread Statement on Student Civic Engagement, by Sarah E. Long, Providence College. Campus Compact has issued a second edition of this youth-written statement on civic engagement, politics, and service. It provides interesting insight into youth perspectives on community service as “a form of alternative politics,” not an alternative to politics.
