The Networked Teacher: How New Teachers Build Social Networks for Professional Support
Posted by on August 29, 2011
I am excited to announce the release of my book, The Networked Teacher: How New Teachers Build Social Networks for Professional Support, published by Teachers College Press. The book describes how beginning teachers can build networks (face to face and online) of social support for professional development.
It is a great book for all teachers (pre-service to experienced), teacher educators, and anyone interested in education to read and use for group discussions on networking, leadership, and school cultures. I am happy to report that it has already received some rave reviews from notable academics, such as Dr. Susan Fuhrman, President of Teachers College and the National Academy of Education! It is available for purchase at: http://ow.ly/5FrjW .
Best,
Kira Baker Doyle
P.S. Please save the date for the book release party on Thursday, October 6th at 7PM at the Big Blue Marble Bookstore! Along with book signing we’ll have lots of John & Kira’s chocolates to go around! For more info and to RSVP online go to The Networked Teacher facebook page.
