The Future of Food: Food Waste & Philadelphia – Oct 20
Posted by Drexel University on October 11, 2022
Food waste is a larger-than-life problem, a feature of our global food system, not a bug. Certainly, a problem so big that a single individual couldn’t help to solve it. However, it turns out that food waste is both a challenge and a solution. One that can be tackled by an informed individual or community.
But what can an individual do to help solve the problem of food waste in their lives? How does Philadelphia measure up to food waste? Join Hungry Education’s Future of Food Meetup and Drexel University’s Food Lab to get an insider view of food waste, the challenge, and food waste the solution. Our guest speakers include Evan Ehlers, Founder of Sharing Excess, April McGreger of People’s Kitchen Philly and Preserving the South, and Chris Grare, Head of Chef Relations at Do Good Foods.
Date and Time: Thursday, October 20, 6:30-8:00 PM
In-person event at Drexel University is free, but space is limited!
