The Essence of Program Design
Posted by La Salle Nonprofit Center on October 3, 2016
Turning Mission into Action
Your organization’s programs translate your mission into action and are its very lifeblood. Program planning is essential to demonstrate that you understand and meet constituent needs, make an impact through measurable outcomes and have strategies for sustainability. This class will teach you best practices in program design and in developing measurable outcomes that match available resources and accommodate feedback mechanisms for continual improvement.
We see program design as both a verb and a noun —
You’ll learn the best practices for developing programs that consider the essential elements of resources, needs and staff, so that you can develop actual programs that reflect both your community and your organization. The process of program design is really the action plans that result from the program design process, creating programs that are implementable and designed to achieve their purpose. You will learn to design programs that are reality based, with measurable outcomes that can be evaluated to determine their success.
