The Case for Pre-k in PA: Smart Investment in Kids, Communities and the Commonwealth
Posted by Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) on February 1, 2016
This month, the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey joined forces with representatives from philanthropic organizations, law enforcement and the statewide Pre-K for PA campaign to promote a new report, The Case for Pre-k in PA: Smart Investment in Kids, Communities and the Commonwealth. This report details the value and impact of investments in quality early education and the need to ensure all Pennsylvania children have the chance to benefit from this once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity. Over the next few months, we will work with our Pre-K for PA campaign partners to ensure that Governor Wolf does his part by making a stronger commitment to funding high-quality pre-k in the Pennsylvania state budget now and in the years to come.
