Hours Weekly: 40. This is an exempt position.
Job Summary
Y-HEP’s Tester and CRCS+CLEAR Counselor is responsible for assisting in outreach, HIV testing and CRCS+CLEAR with Young Men who have Sex with Men (YMSM) of color. Outreach and HIV testing will be conducted at a variety of targeted locations including street outreach and testing, bars and clubs, and other places where YMSM congregate or events they may attend. This position is responsible for delivering CRCS+CLEAR at Y-HEP. They will maintain a caseload that will include meeting with young MSM one-on-one, referring youth for appropriate services, and setting goals and prevention plans.This position is part of Y-HEP’s exciting I AM…Program, which was developed to significantly increase prevention and care services for YMSM of color, ages 13-29, a priority population in Philadelphia’s comprehensive HIV prevention plan. The Y-HEP Tester and CRCS+CLEAR Counselor reports to the Program Coordinator of the I AM….Program. This position requires late night and evening hours.
