TESOL PROGRAMMING AND INSTRUCTION COURSE
MARCH 23-MAY 27, 2015
MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 5:00-7:30 PM
Learn best practices in administering adult ESL programs and in becoming a Master Teacher. The Education Department at NSC is now offering a 50-hour training course for experienced teachers of English as a Second/Additional Language and program administrators. Unlike other TESOL training courses, we focus on the unique needs of adults in the ESL classroom. The course will address how to define and assess a quality teacher, how to address the needs of adults from all over the world with varying levels of formal education, and best practices in administering an adult ESL program. Participants who attend all 50 hours will receive certificates of completion.
Our 50-hour Certification Course Includes:
♦ Defining quality education
♦ Working with students with varying levels of formal education
♦ Overseeing paid and volunteer teachers
♦ Choosing material
♦ Addressing students’ and teachers’ needs
The cost of this course is $350. The course is for experienced teachers and program administrators. We also offer a 100-hour course ($650) for teachers with less experience the field.
