Temple Youth VOICES Presentation
Posted by on April 30, 2007
On behalf of The Temple Youth VOICES Project, I hope you will accept my invitation to join us on Tuesday, May 8th at Temple University (Tuttlemant Hall, rm 105) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
A dedicated group of middle, high school and college aged youth are preparing a dynamic presentation of their ideas about education. In particular, through a
wide range of engaging media, they will challenge you to get involved in their campaign for change.
Why are students dropping out of high school in Philadelphia? While there is no one clear answer, members of the Temple Youth VOICES Project are prepared to shed light on a very important issue: Philadephia youth are not being adequately engaged, challenged and supported in their schools.
If you are a teacher, a young person, a youth advocate, a parent….a citizen of Philadelphia, then we are looking for your support. Our May 8th Speak Out is not the end, it is the beginning. We hope that you will be so inspired by the
students’ first steps, that you will offer your time, your ideas, your energy and your access to support their work.
I encourage you to forward this to anyone who would value the opportunity to support young people advocating for their future.
Please RSVP via email or phone (215-204-2007) by Friday, May 5th.
All the best, Catie
