An Overview of the New Home Mortgage Data: What it Can and Cannot Tell us About Fairness or Discrimination in Lending ?
Tuesday, October 25, 2005 (1:00p ? 3:00p)

Learn what is new in the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data. Starting in the 2004 data, pricing information will be publicly available for high cost subprime loans. What can the data tell us about fairness in lending? What can it tell us about whether credit needs are being met? How should activists, industry, and the government use the data? This workshop is for both beginners and more advanced users of the data. Come here a lively discussion and demonstration about how to access the data.

Participants, not in the Washington DC area, will receive the training presentation prior to the workshop for review and participate via telephone.

Trainer: Joshua Silver
You will need: MS Powerpoint, telephone access & internet access
