Teens N Technology program needs Mentors
Posted by on January 16, 2004
The Southwest Community Enrichment Center’s Teens N Technology (TNT) program aims to motivate inner city high school juniors from West Philadelphia and Bartram High Schools to stay in school by developing their computer skills and giving them the tools necessary to be successful in higher education and the business world.
We are seeking volunteers to serve as MENTORS to the inner city high school students participating in our TNT Program. The role of mentors will be to assist students on a one-on-one basis in developing and implementing a plan for their future beyond high school.
? Empower low-income high school students to reach their full potential
? Expose students to options and opportunities
? Help students focus on the future
? Guide students in exploring realistic goals
? Develop students? self-esteem
Contact Ed McNichol or Emily Hirshorn at [email protected] or call 215-382-9039 for more information about becoming a mentor.
