Youth Service, Inc. conducts a Teen Success program to encourage participants to maintain their family size while completing their education goals. The Facilitator assignment begins September 2012 with a March 2013 end date; working 10 hrs per /week to recruit and maintain teens in the program; conduct groups and develop and maintain resources, i.e. tutoring, advocacy, and reproductive health. Facilitator maintains group attendance records; tracks outcomes and prepares weekly and monthly reports, some via web hosted database; as well as follows established timeline for program with monthly phone check-ins and/or technical assistance updates with Teen Success lead agency.
The Facilitator is required to have a Masters or Bachelors degree in Health Education, Psychology, Counseling or a related field with 1-2 years of related work experience with adolescents; and, knowledge of and ability to educate others on reproductive health. Effective facilitation skills, good written and verbal communication skills along with computer and database literacy are required. Must be able to participate in initial program orientation, training and annual site monitoring visit and attend annual stakeholders meeting. Must have acceptable Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, Criminal Investigation Report and health assessment with a TB screening. A valid drivers’ license is required.
