Teen Program Film/Photography Instructor
Location: Honickman Learning Center & Comcast Technology Labs
The Teen College Access Program is looking for one or two candidates to instruct a Film class and a Photography class. We are open to one instructor teaching both classes or two separate instructors. The total number of hours for both courses combined is 9-12 hours weekly during after school hours.
Digital Photography Instructor plans all lessons and provides photography instruction to students in Grades 9-12. Instructor collaborates with other digital arts staff and manager to provide project-based learning lessons and participates in planning of annual Digital Arts Festival. Digital Film Instructor plans all lessons and provides film instruction to students in Grades 9-12. Instructor collaborates with other digital arts staff and manager to provide project-based learning lessons and participates in planning of annual Digital Arts Festival.
- Bachelor’s degree in an area of Film or Photography or related field
- Proficient in iMovie and Final Cut Pro
- Proficient in Publisher and other photography tools
- Some teaching experience
- Experience with at-risk students in an urban environment;
- Excellent organization, planning and reporting skills;
- Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal skills;
- Strong relationship building & networking skills;
- Ability to work independently and function as an integral part of a team;
- Strong computer skills;
- Valid driver’s license
