Philadelphia to host new TEDx Conference
After a two-year hiatus, TEDxPhiladelphia is back.
The theme of the 2014 one-day conference, to be held on March 28th, is “The New Workshop of the World.” The name is a play on a nickname that Philadelphia, once a manufacturing capital, used to have as the “the Workshop of the World.”
The event will highlight speakers and performers in a city that is re-emerging as a home for makers, entrepreneurs, and artists, as well as thinkers and doers. It will take place at the Temple Performing Arts Center, 1837 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia.
TEDx events are local, self-organized speaker conferences based off the global TED model.
