Organizational Background
NPower PA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help other non-profits use technology to better serve our community. Our services enable non-profits to plan for, implement and effectively employ technology tools to achieve their organizational goals.
Job Description – part-time position
The Technology Business Developer will promote NPower PA’s services to the great Philadelphia nonprofit community and generate memberships, consulting and training engagements with area nonprofits.
Duties
The Business Developer is responsible for creating new business for NPower PA by generating new client prospects and building on existing client relationships including: calling and meeting with nonprofit agency representatives; setting up presentations for groups of organizations and individual agencies; identifying new client prospects and educating them on the services that NPower PA provides; and working with past and current clients of NPower PA to ensure that they are maximizing the value they can obtain as an NPower PA client. The business developer will follow through with the consulting and training staff of NPower PA to ensure that leads and opportunities are successfully converted to new engagements.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector & absolute passion for working with nonprofits
* Technology understanding and fluency (ability to assess appropriate technology solutions for the client and then communicate the proposed solution(s) to appropriate NPower PA staff)
* Experience in sales or equivalent nonprofit position
Salary/Benefits
Position is part-time (20-30 hours/week); schedule flexible based on successful candidate’s needs. Salary $15-19/hour. Excellent insurance benefits and generous leave time.
