Teaching with Primary Sources – UArts Workshop for K-12 Educators
April 23, 2016 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Terra Hall
Join us Saturday, April 23 for a FREE Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) Spring Workshop. TPS-UArts is pleased to invite K-12 teachers to attend this event, designed to engage all subject teachers in the benefits of primary sources from the Library of Congress. Registration is required – act now to reserve your space!
The workshop includes hands-on activities with the Library of Congress digital collections, as well as photographs and prints. We’ll use Library of Congress tools designed to help your students observe, reflect and inquire about sources to make thoughtful connections.
Featuring a keynote talk by Kim Sajet, director of the National Portrait Gallery, this event brings a unique perspective into how a range of cultural artifacts can illuminate teaching across the curriculum.
