At Inquiry Charter School we serve students from PreK to Grade 5 emphasizing individual and exploratory learning. We encourage creativity, support problem solving and produce life-long learners.

Teaching Assistant (K-2)

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and mission aligned individual who is interested in supporting students’ school success. The ideal applicant should be able to work in collaboration with other building educators to provide high quality engaging care for students in a variety of settings such as the classroom, the lunchroom, recess and one on one support.

Requirements:

  • Enjoys working with and for children
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Team player
  • Flexible and dependable
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a variety of individualized needs
  • Previous experience working with young children preferred

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the lead teacher in meeting students and family needs
  • Execute small and whole group learning
  • Actively manage and engage students in a variety of settings including recess, lunch, and classroom
  • Proactively support students who are struggling behaviorally
  • Track student progress and maintain student data
  • Ensure a safe and joyful school environment
  • Other duties as assigned
