Philadelphia School Television (PSTV) is seeking experienced teaching artists to work with our students and share your expertise. You would design, and deliver your “approved” workshop offering(s). We service all types of students from Pre K up to the 12th grade. We seek to provide current and leading edge media enrichment training and expertise for our students preparing them for future careers in the industry. The interests of our students come first and programs are designed to give them hands-on experience as well as guidance for tomorrow’s jobs. All of our students deserve access to quality schools, opportunities and knowledge. We work to make sure that all students have access.
The Position:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, you will design your own program offering, facilitate and implement the training of students. This contract position has potential to lead to other job opportunities within the PSTV family. This is a great opportunity to be creative and work with students in providing industry standard level of experience.
Typical Duties (may include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Train students in a specific media field or your expertise
- Ability to develop programming for students of all ages
- Provide mentoring for students
- Allow of share outs/reflections and set outcomes for programs
- Design programs that are inclusive of social emotional learning
- Plan and establish a safe learning environment for all youth
- Prepare all training materials (powerpoint, video links, handouts)
- Manage all administration duties of your workshop offering – Proposal, agenda, training materials, reporting out and attendance, log student release forms
- Book equipment and space needs as needed for workshops
- Sets up and operates a wide variety of media equipment as needed
