Teachers, The Steppingstone Academy
Posted by Steppingstone Scholars on March 12, 2018
Steppingstone Scholars works with families and school partners to provide rigorous educational programming and support for talented underserved students in the Philadelphia region to achieve academic success, opportunity, and a college degree. Steppingstone has two major program initiatives: The Steppingstone Academy (TSA) , a selective city-wide academic program, and the Middle Grades Academy (MGA), Steppingstone’s investment in neighborhood public K-8 schools in North and West Philadelphia.
The Steppingstone Academy ( TSA ) now supports over 400 students and their families, from 5th grade through college, providing a curriculum that includes summer/weekend academic programs, internships, tutoring enrichment, and academic advising services, where we mediate between families and schools in an effort to narrow not only the gap in achievement but how minority and low-income students are served by their schools.
