About: The School District of Philadelphia is recruiting its next cohort of teacher residents for the 2020-21 school year. The Teacher Residency Program is a year-long teacher training program that pairs hands-on classroom learning with graduate level coursework. Our ideal teacher resident candidates are passionate about becoming teachers in Philadelphia public schools and are committed to their growth as educators. The Teacher Residency Program equips residents to teach middle and high school Math, Science, English Language Arts or Spanish, and prepares residents to earn their PA Instructional I teaching certification, if not also a Master’s Degree.
Candidates will hear a brief overview from the School District’s Residency Team and can then choose a partner-led info session. Interested candidates can also register for the info session and learn more about SDP’s Teacher Residency Program on our website (https://jobs.philasd.org/opportunities/teachers/teacher-residency/) or email [email protected] with any questions.
