Teach Truth Day of Action: Explore the Resources
Posted by Pulitzer Center on June 10, 2025
Teach Truth Day of Action celebrates the work of educators who empower their students. This annual event which was hosted by Zinn Education on June 7, invites educators, students, parents, and community members to raise awareness about ongoing threats to education, preserve historically accurate teaching, and defend the right to learn. We are sharing resources and opportunities for you to get involved and champion inclusive, accurate education.
Inspired by and utilizing resources from The 1619 Project, our collection of curricular resources supports understanding of U.S. history and makes issues relevant and accessible to learners in diverse education contexts. Created by the Pulitzer Center and our community of educators, this collection can be filtered by grade level and subject to find units that fit your teaching goals.
Add the 1619 Education Materials Collection to your bookmarks to find units at your fingertips throughout the school year!
The 1619 Project Education Network is proud to be a co-sponsor of the Teach Truth Day of Action. Organizations and educators alike are hosting events across the country to support communities in taking action this Saturday and beyond.
Visit Zinn Education to find events in your area that are working to preserve the freedom to learn, and explore other ways to get involved.
