Tax prep volunteers needed in Delaware County

Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) is seeking volunteers for its free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites.
CAADC is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic individuals who would like to serve their community by helping low- and moderate income families in Delaware County complete their taxes. Positions include volunteer screeners, greeters, tax preparers and quality reviewers. No experience is necessary as training, IRS-certification and resources will be provided. The Agency will be operating sites in Boothwyn, Upper Darby, Sharon Hill and Chester. Last year CAADC helped nearly 1,000 families. Volunteers should be able to commit to at least one 4-hour shift a week during the tax season (January 23rd – April 16th).
