Tax Associate Interns, Campaign for Working Families
Posted by Campaign for Working Families on December 20, 2022
The Campaign for Working (CWF) Families is recruiting Tax Associate Interns who are interested in preparing tax returns with us from January through April. We accept applicants from any school, but are prioritizing local students who can volunteer in person. For non-Wharton students, the internship is unpaid but eligible for college credit and/or work-study. The opportunity is currently posted on our website, Idealist, Indeed and Handshake. There is no experience required for interns (we provide free training), but it would be a particularly useful opportunity for accounting, finance and business majors.
Every year, the Campaign for Working Families, Inc. recruits, trains, and manages hundreds of volunteers and interns who staff free tax sites across Southeastern PA and South Jersey, connecting taxpayers to important tax credits and resource building services. In 2022, CWF’s sites filed over 30,000 returns and brought in over $30 million in refunds to our region’s economy. Since the onset of COVID, our number of in-person volunteers has been greatly reduced. We are excited to welcome interns to our tax sites to help fill in those gaps.
For this upcoming tax season, CWF is seeking highly motivated and mature individuals to fill our multiple Tax Associate intern positions. All students, no matter your major, are encouraged to apply, because each intern will learn critical skills that will not only enhance your resume but also your prospects for employment upon graduation. This opportunity is also WorkStudy and academic credit eligible.
