Volunteers needed for “Tassel Team” Community Canvassing (Graduation Coach Campaign)
The Graduation Coach Campaign is an initiative of the Mayor’s Office of Education. We provide information, resources, and strategies to adults to help them guide their students through school. We are recruiting volunteers for a new and unusual opportunity in Kensington!
As part of our grassroots efforts in this neighborhood, we are mobilizing a “Tassel Team” of volunteers to help distribute information. Wearing bright red caps and gowns, Tassel Team Members will hand out flyers with resources and deadlines in both English and Spanish and answer residents’ basic questions. Volunteers will receive a 10-minute orientation onsite and will have ongoing support from a trained staff member. Adults do not need to bring anything; high school students must simply bring a waiver signed by their parents/guardians.
Don’t miss this opportunity to promote education! New dates for canvassing are continually being added. Sign up to volunteer at http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/129723236076
Call Caroline La Rochelle, Outreach Manager, at (215) 686-0314 if you have additional questions.
