HUD Notice of Public Information Grants Now Available

HUD is soliciting applications for two of three Notice of Public Information (NOPI) grants — created to enhance HUD demonstration programs. Three to five grants of $150,000–$500,000 are expected to be awarded through the Sustainable Communities Research Grant Program. This grant was created to fill key data and information gaps and to begin to develop and evaluate policy alternatives that will help target community investments. This program will also help HUD broaden its sustainability agenda and any future efforts or initiatives based on the results of the research. Applications for this grant are due February 4, 2011.

The second grant, the Homeless Families Demonstration Small Grant Research Program, provides a vehicle for conducting a number of small research projects aimed at collecting additional/supplemental data. Applications for this award, ranging from $75,000–$150,000, are due February 18, 2011.
