Sustainability Symposium 2011:
“Sustainability: Is It More Than We Think?”
The Explorer Connection at La Salle University will host its first ever Sustainability Symposium on March 19, 2011 as the culminating event in its year-long Sustainable Development Series. This event is also a proud part of La Salle Heritage Week 2011: Celebrating the Legacy. “Sustainability: Is It More than We Think?” is the first in a five-part series of sustainability symposia at La Salle.
Event Details
Please visit the official Symposium Website for a full event schedule, brief biographical sketches of all the speakers and descriptions of each of the symposium sessions.

**Important Note: the first presentation (keynote address) begins at 10am. However, registration/check-in starts at 9:15am. We ask that you arrive between 9:15 and 9:45am to check in before the start of the programs. Thank you!
Registration
Registration for this event is required. Registering will enable your participation in the full symposium, which runs from 10:00am – 2:30pm on March 19th. This will include a keynote address, two periods of interactive breakout sessions and a full lunch and closing ceremony.
Selecting Breakout Sessions
There will be two periods of breakout sessions. Each period will have three sections from which you can select. These three sections will be repeated twice so you will be able to participate in two of the three sections during the symposium.
You will select which breakout sessions to attend when fillling out the registration form (you’ll be directed to this form after selecting your ticket and clicking “Register”). Make sure to complete this form and indicate the two breakout sessions you wish to attend.
Please note: We will do our best to accommodate your interests, however space is limited for each section and we will cap the sections on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Location
La Salle is located at 1900 W. Olney Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19141.
The symposium activities will take place in two locations on main campus (as noted on the schedule): the La Salle Union Building (registration, keynote, lunch and closing remarks) and the Holroyd Center for Science and Technology (breakout sessions).
A full schedule for the day can be found here.
Parking
All Guests without a valid La Salle parking permit can park in two locations:
* Central High School Lot (Driveway entrance runs along Olney Avenue)
or
