Support AmeriCorps to Advance Service-Learning
Voices for AmeriCorps: AmeriCorps Strengthening America
February 8th, 8:00AM-6:00PM, Washington, D.C.
Let’s make sure Congress and others know about the important role AmeriCorps plays in advancing service-learning. The Save AmeriCorps Coalition will host a full day of national service testimony on Capitol Hill this February 8th. We strongly encourage everyone from the service-learning community to consider the various ways we can participate in this event in Washington, DC or in our own communities. This event follows the 2003 “Voices for AmeriCorps: 100 Hours of National Service Testimony,” which featured over 700 AmeriCorps champions, including 51 Members of Congress, and played a critical role in the increased funding for national service in fiscal year 2004.
