The Supervisor of Foster Care supervises the Foster Care staff and handles assigned administrative tasks required to run the department. This position is located at our North Broad location.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors staffs’ cases
- Advises and consults with staff on clinical and case management issues.
- Takes responsibility for staff cases in their absence, when necessary.
- Assures compliance with child welfare regulations of agency, county, and state.
- Meets at least monthly with leadership team and colleagues to improve forms, worker accountability, and problem solve other department issues.
- Accompanies workers, when appropriate, to county meetings and other conferences.
- When requested, assumes responsibility for in-service staff training.
- Responsible for the annual staff performance evaluation
- Responsible to be on the “on-call” rotation.
Requirements
- MSW and at least three years of experiecne at least one of which is in a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.
- Good understanding of the child welfare system and preferably within the City of Philadelphia with direct child welfare work expeirence required
Additional Requirements
Employee must own a car, have and maintain a safe driving record on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state in which the employee is licensed to drive. Employee must provide a valid driver’s license, maintain proof of automobile liability insurance and must maintain coverage. In addition, employee must provide police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances
