PBJ offers to supercharge nonprofits
The Philadelphia Business Journal will sponsor Supercharge Your Nonprofit, a workshop featuring two presentations aimed at helping nonprofits meet their goals despite the down economy.
The event will be held on Thursday, August 16th rom 8am to 11am at Community College of Philadelphia, 18th and Callowhill Streets.
The workshop includes a presentation on Cultivating Powerful Partnerships with Corporations presented by Gail S. Bower. The presentation aims to help participants lose the angst and embrace enthusiasm to win corporate sponsors. Participants will learn best practices in working with the corporate sector, including what to do before your meeting; what to say during the meeting; where you go next; and how that translates to building profitable relationships with longevity.
Leveraging LinkedIn for Nonprofits, presented by Robb Pardee, will teach participants key tips to leverage LinkedIn for their organizations. Crucial topics will include branding your LinkedIn profile for your organization, integrating LinkedIn into your organizational strategy for interacting with supporters, and creating a message platform with a LinkedIn Company Page.
