Summit for Religious Freedom (Scholarships Available) – Nov 21
Posted by Americans United for Separation of Church & State on November 15, 2022
The separation of church and state plays a critical role in protecting our democracy, our equality, and our rights. This opportunity may be of interest to students that you work with: the Summit for Religious Freedom (SRF) in Washington, DC and virtually, April 21-24, 2023 – youth scholarships are available, with a priority deadline of November 21.
SRF is designed for everyone from longtime advocates to those just discovering the issue of religious freedom and church-state separation, and the issues that depend on them like LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, protecting public schools, and more. We have announced our keynote speakers Dr. Anthea Butler and Congressman Jamie Raskin, and will announce more speakers and workshops in the coming months.
We have scholarships available for those who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend, with some reserved specifically for young people under age 25. Scholarships can cover the cost of registration, travel, and/or hotel – the priority application deadline is November 21. Apply for a scholarship.
