Summit: Communities United for Our Students’ Future
Posted by PA Schools Work on September 10, 2018
As you may know, Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) advocates with PA Schools Work – a new coalition that fights for better funding for public schools. Learn more about the campaign and our partner organizations at http://paschoolswork.org/. The coalition works to ensure that Pennsylvania’s students have the funding and resources they need to learn, thrive and become career ready.
Recently, PA’s Court took a giant leap forward toward giving all PA students a “thorough and efficient” education. Learn about its decision here:
PA Schools Work is keeping the momentum going.
On Saturday, November 17, 2018, 1,000 advocates from every school district in the state will meet in Harrisburg to send a message to legislators that we need them to stand up for all PA students’ right to a high quality education. During this summit, you will meet other leaders and advocates from around the state who, like you, want to lead the charge for change. You will leave with an expanded network of leaders and tools to engage other advocates in your community to fight for fair education funding.
We want you and another voice from your school district there. Please share with leaders from other school districts who want to lead in this historic change and spread the word about this event.
Seats are limited.
