Summerbridge of Greater Philadelphia
Posted by on April 23, 2007
Summerbridge of Greater Philadelphia is a comprehensive academic enrichment program that provides a path from middle school to college for low-income students from Philadelphia?s public schools. Summerbridge also inspires talented high school and college students to become educators and engaged citizens by turning over to them responsibility for teaching and program administration.
The mission of the Summerbridge Mentoring Program is to provide academic, social and personal support to high school students that we serve. The Mentoring Program brings together Summerbridge students and community members to establish trusting relationships.
What does the Summerbridge mentoring program do?
? Matches students one-on-one with mentors based on their preferences and interests
? Hosts fun and free events for mentors and mentees
? Provides support and encouragement for current mentoring pairs
? Offers training and additional resources
If you are interested in participating please contact Elona Lakuriqi, Student Services Coordinator, at 215-951-2398 for more information.
