Build Our Lives Together (BOLT) was founded in January, 2022 as a registered 501c(3) organization to empower grassroots leaders to bring the change their communities want to see. We envision a future where every neighborhood is thriving, led by the people living there.

We are a leadership development program for residents of marginalized neighborhoods driving community-led change. We work with adults to build their leadership capacity and with public high school youth to build a pipeline of leaders.

We are looking for someone to lead workshops with the BOLT team within BOLT’s summer program with the possibility of extending this role to a permanent, full time role during the academic year. You will work in coordination with the team to implement and execute workshops and support a variety of aspects of the summer program. You will report to the Programs Manager.

We provide change-making knowledge, network, and financial capital to participating youth. Our curriculum consists of (1) community organizing (2) strategic planning & management (3) navigating the local ecosystem of change in Philadelphia (4) and job/career exploration. The first 60% of the program consists of knowledge and network-building and the latter 40% consists of taking action on issues that matter most to them.
