Philadelphia Futures’ mission is to provide low-income, first-generation-to-college students with the tools, resources and opportunities necessary for admission to and success in college. A critical component of our programming is summer academic instruction. Programs are offered on college campuses and designed to build academic skills and increase students’ understanding of college life.

We currently have these Summer Writing Instructor positions available:

  • The Science Writing Instructor will lead 25-35 rising seniors by co-facilitating a hands-on environmental science internship program that focuses on fieldwork and lab experience. The instructor will support all writing elements of the program and help students to integrate the content of course lectures into their work. This is a full-day, five week program at Eastern University. Dates TBA.
