Summer VISTA: Drexel Kindergarten Bridge Program (School Readiness)
Posted by Drexel University on April 19, 2022
Drexel University is working to expand access to high quality childcare and preschool programs for West Philly children. Both childcare providers and local principals agree that rising Kindergarten students could use additional support before entering school. The Kindergarten Bridge Program helps support the transition from preschool to Kindergarten for both students and families with a specific focus on the development of school readiness skills, both academic and social emotional.
The Summer Bridge to Kindergarten program is run by Drexel teacher-education students. We are hiring a summer VISTA for this year. The person would have to be local for the 9 weeks of summer but can technically be from any college or university (this role just tends to be the best fit for college students or recent grads).
