General Description:
The Summer Supervisor is part of a seasonal team designed to provide citywide access to all youth interested in WorkReady Philadelphia summer programs. This position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work nights and weekends. This is an exempt, seasonal position (April to August) with bi-weekly compensation at $1,200 to $1,500, based on qualifications; this position is not eligible for benefits.
Essential Functions:
• Plan, lead and evaluate youth internship program and assist in the delivery of city wide access to WorkReady Philadelphia summer youth programs
• Oversee youth enrollment sessions in accordance with applicable labor laws and practices
• Facilitate youth program referrals and matching to internships
• Coordinate and conduct youth enrollment sessions in accordance with applicable labor laws and practices
• Review quality of youth enrollment files
• Assess youth readiness for program referrals
• Coordinate and conduct weekly Professional development series for youth
• Manage/maintain filing system for youth and provider files
• Enter data files into proprietary database
• Troubleshoot issues in youth payroll
• Reconcile youth timesheets against payroll registers
• Embody excellent customer service into daily work
• Serve as an example of professionalism to youth
• Travel to worksites throughout the city of Philadelphia
• Other duties as assigned by the Director, Operations Coordinator, and/or the COO
