Summer Seasonal Art Teaching Assistant (Part-Time), Barnes Foundation
Posted by Barnes Foundation on April 20, 2021
Community Engagement & Family (CEF) programming seeks a part-time (grant-funded) Summer Seasonal Art Teaching Assistant for Barnes Early Learner Summer Pod, in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Teaching Artist as they facilitate performance-based storytelling experiences at 4 Philly Play Street locations in South and West Philadelphia communities over 6 weeks. Teaching Assistants will engage with families, particularly with early learners ages 0-5, by engaging attention and participation, distributing art kits and helping with art making activities. They will also assist with set-up and break-down responsibilities at each site. A qualified candidate should have a background in early childhood education and performance, or feel comfortable in a public, outdoor performance setting.
