Summer Search: Career Coaching Program Volunteers Needed

Summer Search is a youth development and mentoring non-profit that works to improve the lives of teenagers from low-income backgrounds, living in underserved Philadelphia neighborhoods. We offer 7 to 9 years of holistic support, starting in a student’s sophomore year of high school, through mentoring, transformative summer experiences, post-secondary advising, and career & financial well-being supports, leading to thriving adults with purpose. We currently partner with 10 high schools in the Philadelphia area and hundreds of post-secondary students and alumni.

We are in the process of launching a Career Coaching Program for our Post-secondary students this fall and are interested in partnering with young professionals and diverse employees to volunteer as coaches and help guide our students through the steps of the job search process. The commitment would be one to two hours per month, either in-person or virtually, starting in November 2022 and ending in May 2023.
