Summer paid and volunteer positions with Let’s Get Ready

We’re excited to share that applications for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 positions for college students are now open!

Summer is right around the corner and we need your help to invite the college students that you work with to be a part of the Let’s Get Ready family!

College students play a critical role in making our programs a success. This is a great opportunity for students to explore a career in teaching, mentoring, youth development, and build their resume.

Find all of our available positions, paid and volunteer, below.

College Access Coach (Volunteer)
As a College Access Coach, you are on the frontlines of educational equity as a tutor, role model, and mentor. Volunteer as an SAT coach to a small group of high school students in your community and guide them as they begin the college application process. College Access Coaches can specialize in either the math or verbal sections of the SAT.

This is a volunteer, three-month position that must be done in-person starting June.

College Access Site Director (Paid)
As a College Access Site Director, you will recruit and manage volunteer college students who provide SAT preparation and college admissions guidance to high school students. This is a 10-15-hour per week commitment. College Access Site Directors gain hands-on management experience while helping high school students achieve their college goals.

This is a paid, four-month position that must be done in-person starting May.

Transition Coach (Paid)
A Transition Coach works to provide virtual support by text, phone, and email to a cohort of current high school seniors as they apply to college and make the important decision about where to attend school. Our near-peer Transition Coaches build relationships with their students and provide mentorship, encouragement, targeted resources, and help staying on track with the many steps in the college application process.

This is a paid, year-long position that can be done virtually starting August.

Success Coach (Paid)
Success Coaches are dynamic and motivated undergraduate students who provide mentoring and support to 1st and 2nd year college students at one of our campus-based programs or virtually. Success Coaches work directly with students and provide 1:1 peer mentoring to a cohort of students by working to increase access to campus resources and building support for students.

This is a paid, year-long position that can be done virtually starting September.
