Research, Tech and Communications Summer Intern Positions at Research for Action

RFA is looking for both undergraduate and graduate level interns this summer to help on a variety of projects. We are looking to fill 4-5 research internship positions in addition to a tech assistant intern and communications assistant intern positions. Breif descriptions of these internships are below and more information including testimonials from previous RFA interns can be found on our website at: http://www.researchforaction.org/interns/

Research Interns:

RFA hosts multiple interns throughout the year at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels who work directly on evaluation and research projects. As critical members of research teams, interns have the opportunity to gain experience in a range of disciplines, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies in topic areas that span from pedagogy to policy. By conducting field work, analyzing data, and writing memos and reports, interns get a feel for both the rigorous demands of high-quality research and the rewards of contributing to areas of study that have a real impact on the field.

Communications Intern:

RFA is looking for an intern to assist in the communications department by taking the lead in promoting the organization and our reports through social media. Working closely with our communications team, the intern will gain valuable experience in non profit communications, visibility and web design. Experience with social media as a communications tool, specifically constant contact, twitter, facebook, and other websites and blogs preferred.

Tech Intern:

The technology assistant will support the Technology Manager in maintaining and implementing IT solutions within the organization. Duties will include computer maintenance, hardware set-up, installing programs and operating systems and assisting with staff tech trainings.

Interns typically work 15-30 hours in the summer and while unpaid, internships can count as work study and in some cases a small stipend is available.
