Summer intern, Philadelphia Print Collaborative
Posted by on April 30, 2004
Timeframe: Summer 2004
Minimum time commitment: 6 hours per week
The Philadelphia Print Collaborative (PPC) seeks a motivated, organized individual work with project coordinator on Printing Philadelphia: The Rub! This public art project focuses on the art of frottage, using collagraphs, with the theme of the Bill of Rights as it relates to neighborhood histories. See the Philadelphia Print Collaborative’s website http://www.printcollaborative.org for more information.
The intern will:
? Participate in preparation for the workshops, including gathering supplies and setting up the workshops space;
? Assist in prep for workshops at the sites (approximately 10 2-hour sessions);
? Assist in exhibition and event planning and implementation
? Maintain clear communication on a regular basis through weekly email to the PPC workshop coordinator throughout the internship.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain experience with project management and exhibitions while working with leaders in the Philadelphia arts community. Interns will also see the process of building toward a city wide public art event.
Federal Workstudy students are encouraged to apply.
To Apply: Send your resume and cover letter to Caitlin Perkins [email protected] or mail it to 1800 JFK Blvd., Suite 502, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Questions? Call Caitlin at 215 557 8152.
