Summer Instructors, Philadelphia Futures
Posted by on May 13, 2013
A critical component of Philadelphia Futures’ academic programming is summer instruction. Programs are offered on college campuses and designed to build academic skills and increase students’ understanding of college life. We currently have two Summer Instructor positions available:
The Pre-College Writing and Research Instructor will lead 20-25 rising sophomores in a course entitled “The Holocaust & Human Behavior”, using a curriculum outline developed by Philadelphia Futures. This is a half-day program at Drexel University from July 1-August 2, 2013.
The Science Writing Instructor will lead 24 rising seniors by co-facilitating a hands-on environmental science internship program that focuses on fieldwork and lab experience. The instructor will support all writing elements of the program and help students to integrate the content of course lecture into their work. This is a full-day program at Eastern University from July 1-August 6, 2013.
Compensation for both positions is competitive and dependent on credentials and experience.
How to Apply: Please send your resume and cover letter to Zeva Levine, Coordinator of Academic Services, at [email protected] and include the title of the instructor position in the subject line.
