Center for Afterschool Education at Foundations, Inc. Partners with Arcadia University for Summer Institutes in Extended Learning
Summer Institutes provide graduate and undergraduate credit-bearing courses in teaching in extended learning environments and working with English language learners.
The Center for Afterschool Education at Foundations, Inc. and Arcadia University are partnering to offer two Summer Institutes that feature innovative learning opportunities that include: Teaching and Learning in Extended Learning Environments and Expanding Learning for English Learners: In and Beyond the Classroom. The Institutes will be held July 26-31, 2010, at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, and students will have the option of taking one or both.
Now in its third year of operation, the program responds to the growing demand to maximize educational opportunities outside of the school day by preparing students and in-service professionals to teach and lead in afterschool and summer settings.
