Project Background:

In response to the current FAFSA challenges, PhillyGoes2College is launching a Summer FAFSA Completion initiative as funded by The U.S. Department of Education’s emergency FAFSA Student Support Strategy. The FAFSA Student Support Strategy aims to continue increasing the number of high school students who complete a 2024-25 FAFSA and enroll in college, particularly first-time college students and students of color.

The PhillyGoes2College Summer FAFSA Completion initiative will consist of an awarenessbuilding campaign and intrusive FAFSA completion support. The Summer FAFSA Project Manager and Coach will work alongside PhillyGoes2College staff to lead project design, campaign and content development, targeted outreach efforts, and live FAFSA coaching sessions. A Social Media Manager will be a part of the PhillyGoes2College Summer FAFSA Completion initiative to lead efforts around a messaging campaign.

This is a temporary grant-funded position starting immediately and running through September 1, 2024.
