Summer Environmental Service Learning Training
August 4th and 5th, 9:00am-3:30pm
at
Bartram’s Garden (SW Philadelphia)
Join us for two days of content area knowledge-building, service learning orientation, and networking. Learn new techniques to infuse in your curriculum to gain positive, measurable results in your students’ achievement and engagement in school. We will focus on the following content areas:
· Greening/gardening (Always wanted to do a greening project around your school campus? Here’s how!)
· Waste management (How to set up a successful school recycling program, and more!)
· Watersheds (Tips for covering PA standards on watersheds in an active and engaging way for students!)
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The atmosphere is relaxed but focussed! A great experience for educators new to Earth Force, or for our veteran educators! Remember:
· Act 48 Credits available
· You will meet potential partners/gain access to resources
· You will sit down with Earth Force support staff to plan how we can help you deliver your curriculum
o You will have fun! The Philadelphia Water Department Trash Skimmer Boat will be there!
