Philadelphia Martin Luther King Jr. Association for Nonviolence’s College for Teens 2003 Summer College Campus Residency Program (SUCCES)
For the 3rd consecutive year the King Association in collaboration with the School District of Phila. has conducted the exciting summer academic enrichment program. Held at Cheyney University of Penna – Host for the 8 week summer program.
College for Teens Program is a concept that consists of provisions for year-round comprehensive holistic, educational, vocational career development, life skills and cultural enrichment services for youth ages 13 through 18 (grades 8 through 12).
College for Teens is comprised of three components: an Adolescent College Campus Residency Program (SUCCES); and a year-round Mentoring/Career Development and Life Skills Program (MCLS).
Requirements for enrollment & continued participation in the program are based on academic records, attendance and behavior. Students must possess a grade “C” or better grade point average in all subjects. They are interested in helping serious minded students who want to take the next step toward their educational goals. Programs runs from Monday, June 23 – Saturday August 16, 2003. Applicant is required to attend the entire time.
All documents must be returned by April 15, with a $50.00 non-refundable fee. (Outside of the $50.00 Fee, the PROGRAM IS FREE).
