STRENGTHEN THE MOVEMENT
Only by confronting the legacy of racism and other forms of oppression and their manifestations within the environmental movement today, can we become truly effective agents for protecting the environment and creating lasting change. The process begins with a two day anti-racism training, continued with forums for discussing and planning anti-oppression work in our organizing.
BUILD OUR COLLECTIVE POWER
By networking with other progressive student groups and youth organizations from around the country sharing resources and coordinating events, actions, and campaigns together!
FIGHT THE CONSTRUCTION OF I-69
The people of Indiana stand to lose more than 5,000 acres of family farms,1,100 acres of forests, and 500 acres of wetlands to I-69, the NAFTA superhighway. I-69 has been stalled for more than 15 years by grassroots opposition, but, due to its importance to free trade planning in the Western Hemisphere, the push for its construction has been strongly renewed by corporate interests. In response, this summer people from across the country are gathering in Indiana to stop this
superhighway project, so as to block the devastating effects it is sure to have locally and globally.
